Shindig it. ArtBeat Greensboro taps indie energy with Sunday afternoon street party

Glass blower Zeke Vantreese is one of those creatives with an entrepreneurial streak that doesn’t let business get in the way of whimsy. Founder of the popular First Friday Indie Market, Vantreese picks up the beat this spring as an ArtBeat Greensboro partner and maestro of the Shindig Art, Craft and Music Festival.

The entire 300 block of South Elm Street will be blocked from noon until 6 pm for vendors and events.

ArtBeat Greensboro partners bring together the local arts patrons and artists to join forces with the professional arts community in putting Greensboro on the arts map…

What’s a Shindig with out live music? Greensboro’s nationally touring hometown favorites Holy Ghost Tent Revival headline six hours of bands that start at noon with the mod originals The Raving Knaves.
